HEALTH-TECH BUY-AND-BUILD

Operationally involved private equity for health technology

We acquire proven healthcare software across the Netherlands and Europe and bring it together in one ecosystem. Technology is how we build value, not what we are. And we build — we do not strip.

WHO WE ARE

An investor that builds alongside

PCD Investment Partners is an investment firm that acquires health technology and makes it work together. Not a software company, not a consultancy: we take stakes, sit at the table with the companies we invest in, and steer what happens after the acquisition.

The problem in healthcare is rarely missing technology. What is missing is coherence. Data stays locked in separate systems, organisations work from different processes, and information does not always reach the right person at the right moment. That is where our thesis sits: not building yet another product, but making existing solutions work together.

THE THESIS

Four pillars under every decision

Why we think this works, in four parts.

  • Proven software, not a bet

We acquire what already runs daily inside care organisations, with real customers and real revenue. No wager on technology that still has to prove itself.

  • Joining what is fragmented

The supply side of healthcare software is fragmented. Bringing companies under one roof creates scale — and, more importantly, the ability to connect them to each other.

  • Hands on the wheel

We are operators, not spectators. The work starts after the acquisition: governance, processes, and cooperation between the companies themselves.

  • The ecosystem as the edge

Every company that joins makes the whole more useful. That coherence is hard to copy, which is what makes the difference durable.

THE VALUE-CREATION ENGINE

Value is created in the CareHub ecosystem

Acquired healthcare software keeps its own name, product, expertise and customer relationships — but starts working with the rest. That is CareHub: a connecting layer, not a competing product.

For care organisations that means putting existing solutions to better use. For the companies themselves: usefulness and reach they cannot achieve alone. For us: the reason a group is worth more than the sum of its parts.

HOW A CONVERSATION RUNS

From first meeting to participation

  1. Getting acquainted

A first conversation where we walk through the business case and test whether there is mutual interest. Short and concrete, not a non-committal tour.

  2. Under an NDA

Where there is mutual interest, both sides share the confidential layer under an NDA: financials, forecasts, financing structure and governance.

  3. Setting the structure

Size, form, control and financing mix are settled together. Not a standard package you either sign or walk away from.

THE EVIDENCE

People and companies

A thesis stays a story until you see who executes it and what it is applied to.

The people

A board of operators with experience in healthcare, technology, financing and governance. Who sits at the table decides what actually happens after an acquisition.Meet the team

How the group is put together

PCD Investment Partners B.V. is the operating company; PCD CareHub is its trade name and not a separate legal entity. Above it sits a holding company, and financing instruments are issued through a separate issuer. We would rather write that down than have someone work it out.

LET'S TALK

Talk to us about participating

We prefer to walk through the business case in person. One conversation makes clear whether it fits.
